Anstruther Repair Cafe is a free community event running every two months, where volunteer fixers try to mend broken items instead of throwing them away — clothes, electricals, furniture, bikes and more. Members of the public can bring along whatever needs fixing and may even learn new repair skills of their own. The repair cafe reduces waste and can give items a new lease of life if they can be fixed. It is free of charge, though donations are welcome to cover costs.

Anstruther Repair Cafe is also a social activity, where people can meet for a cup of tea or coffee, some home baking and have a chat with other members from our local community. Unless otherwise stated, the repair cafe takes place at Dreel Halls. We look forward to welcoming you!

If you would like further information or might like to join the Anstruther Repair Cafe team as a volunteer please contact Norman Paterson: nrp@dog-days.co.uk or 07772 810538.

Please note that volunteers from the Repair Cafe will assess each item and will only attempt a repair if they think they can fix it. Unfortunately we cannot guarantee success and, although they will do their best, there is a risk that they may damage or destroy the item in the process. By bringing your item to the Repair Cafe, you are agreeing that our volunteers and the Cafe itself will not be held liable for any such outcome.

We really appreciate you supporting repair over replacement and our volunteers will give it their best shot!
