Olivia Coleman is outstanding as the damaged Hilary, managing a fading cinema in an English coastal town in the early 80s. Hilary finds solace in a relationship with Stephen, a younger black man, who faces his own challenges against the backdrop of recession, unemployment and everyday racism.

Described as ‘sweet, heartfelt [and] humane’ (The Guardian), this is a gem of a film, one not to miss!
