East Neuk Organic Brewing: the long road to opening a small brewery

After twenty years spent working for large multi-national alcoholic beverage companies, Stephen Marshall has finally realised a long-held dream to make something of his own. Along with his partner, Lucy, Stephen has spent the last two years navigating licencing and council red tape, raising funds and concocting plans to make organic, farmhouse-style beers, specialising in wild yeast, spontaneous fermentation, barrel ageing and blending. As well as talking a little about these plans, Stephen hopes to be able to share samples of some early trial brews.
