This profound and moving documentary by Ava DuVernay explores the history of racial inequality in the United States. DuVernay shows how this inequality has been structurally cemented into US society by the 13th Amendment of the US Constitution.

There will be no charge for this screening, as the screening licence from Netflix stipulates that it is shown free of charge. In the event of any access issues we will screen DuVernay’s superb Selma, the story of Dr Martin Luther King Jnr’s campaign to secure equal voting rights for the Black community.
